Have you set up your custom fields - e.g. projects, cost centers, or anything else you want to be able to fill in as a characteristic of your expense? If you've done this, you are ready to define particular managers for each value of each custom field. This manager is important if you need expenses approval based on these custom fields - e.g. expenses for different projects have to be approved by different project managers.
Here is how you can do this:
Open the Settings menu.
Expand the Expenses menu on the left. You will see the Categories submenu and the Custom fields sub-menus (In the example below the custom fields are Cost center, Project, and Supplier.)
Select a particular custom field, for which you want to define managers (in our example - "Project")
Choose a particular value (in our example - "Paris")
A panel with the details opens on the right.
Click Edit under "<custom field> managers" (in the example - "Project Managers").
Note: The label depends on the custom field name.
A panel opens. Click Add manager and select one or more managers from the dropdown list. You can search for a person by typing his/her name.
You can add more than one manager for each value of a custom field - e.g. if your custom field is Project and for Project A you have 2 persons responsible.
Note: You can remove a custom field manager by selecting the value --> Edit managers --> hover the name of the manager --> click on the Remove button on the right next to the manager's name.
