This guide is designed to help bank relationship managers set up Visa Business Data Solutions (VBDS) subscriptions.
Prerequisites
Before starting the setup process, ensure that:
Your corporate client has requested a VBDS subscription setup.
You have access to the Visa Issuer Portal.
Step 1: Log in to the Visa Issuer portal
Access the Visa Access portal by using your bank credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to Commercial Solutions
On the Visa Access home page, go to My Services > Visa Commercial Solutions Experience.
Step 3: Access the company management
On the Commercial Solutions overview page:
Locate the Manage Company box on the left side of the screen.
Click on View all companies.
Alternatively, use the search function to find the company directly and skip Step 4.
Step 4: Find the corporate client
In the Search bar on the right-hand side:
Type the corporate client's name or ID.
Click View Company or select the company from the search results.
Click the Pencil icon (Edit) under the Actions column.
Step 5: Navigate to Data Delivery
On the Company Management page:
Scroll down to the DATA SOLUTIONS section.
Locate the Data Delivery subsection.
Step 6: Select the Payhawk endpoint
On the Data Delivery management page:
Click the API endpoints tab.
In the search field, type Payhawk.
When the endpoint appears in the results, check the box next to it.
Step 7: Complete the subscription setup
Finally, complete the setup:
Ensure that all product boxes are checked, including:
Starter Data API
Authorization Data API (Pull)
Authorization Data API (Push)
Transaction Data API
Follow any additional on-screen prompts to finalize the subscription. The system will process your selections according to Visa’s protocols
Verification
After completing the setup:
Return to the Manage subscriptions page.
Verify that the subscription status has been updated accordingly.
Troubleshooting
You may come across the following issues while setting up the feed.
Company not found in search
Solution
Verify the company name or ID is correct. If the company does not appear, your bank and/or processor may need to begin sending data to Visa before Visa can send it to recipients.
[SMP] by Payhawk endpoint not appearing
Solution
Contact your financial institution’s product team to ensure the endpoint is authorized:
If not authorized, request that they enable it.
If the issue persists, contact Payhawk support.
Unable to select certain account types
Solution
Contact Payhawk support, as this is unexpected behavior.
