You can transfer money directly from your Payhawk currency account via bank wires, using either local or regional payment networks, or the global payment infrastructure.

Types of bank payments in Payhawk

In Payhawk, you can execute the following types of bank payments:

  • Global bank payments in Payhawk include global FX and same-currency payments.

    • Global FX payments are cross-border transactions that involve currency conversion and are processed through either the SWIFT network or the local payment rails.

    • Global same-currency payments allow new UK and EU customers to make USD-to-USD, EUR-to-EUR, and GBP-to-GBP international payments via the SWIFT network without requiring currency conversion.

  • Domestic bank payments are transfers made from your Payhawk account to another account in the same currency, within a country where that currency is officially used.

  • Regional bank payments refer to transfers in the same currency made within a region where that currency is officially in use.
