Can I use my card at self-service gas stations?

I paid at a self-service gas station with my card. What amount will the merchant take? For how long will the maximum amount be blocked?

Updated yesterday

You can use your Payhawk card and pay at self-service gas stations. When you make the payment with your card, the usual practice for merchants is to block the maximum amount at the time of transaction.

However, when the transaction is settled, the merchant will have drawn only the actual amount of the purchase and the remaining funds will be released back to your card and added to its balance.

Usually, the settlement takes 3 days for the merchant to complete. In rare cases, it may take a little longer.
