Mastercard card feed linking in Payhawk

In Payhawk, Mastercard card feed linking means that you authorize Payhawk to connect to Mastercard for your entity and to receive authorization and settlement data for the card transactions.

Synced transactional data of linked Mastercard cards

When a Mastercard card is linked to Payhawk:

  • Payhawk will start receiving authorization data about the transactions made with that card as of the moment the card was linked.

  • Payhawk will receive settlement data for the linked card transactions when cleared.

Specifics

  • The Mastercard feed linking capabilities in Payhawk are only available for US-based companies for corporate cards issued in the name of their employees.

  • In the case of group entities, only the companies registered in the US will be able to utilize the Mastercard card feed linking capability.

  • Wells Fargo and Goldman Sachs are supported by Mastercard cards linking to other banks via additional partnership arrangements.

Reconciliation in the case of card feed linking

For Payhawk, reconciliation is the process of mapping and transferring your accounting data into exports and the ERP or accounting software systems you are using.

With the card feed linking capabilities, each transaction on the linked Mastercard cards appears as a payment executed through Payhawk. You can map each linked card to a different General Ledger account.
