After you have established a connection between Payhawk and DUO, Payhawk automatically creates the KOST1 and KOST2 custom fields.
Even if you may not want to use the KOST1 and KOST2 custom fields, do not delete them as they are required for the Payhawk-DATEV integration to work seamlessly.
Setting the KOST1 and KOST2 fields
To include all values that are related to KOST1 and KOST2:
Log in to your Payhawk account.
Go to Settings > Expenses fields.
Under Tracking categories from DATEV, select the KOST1 or KOST2 label.
For the purposes of this example, select KOST1. To add KOST2 values, follow the same steps.
Click on the + Add value button.
In the New value label, fill out a user-friendly name of the category.
In the External ID field, input the value that you want to be exported to DUO.
(Optional) Add KOST1 managers.
Hiding the KOST1 and KOST2 fields
If you don't need the KOST1 and KOST2 custom fields, you can set them as not required and make them invisible for anyone.
For the purposes of this example, change the settings for KOST1. To hide the KOST2 field, follow the same steps:
Go to the Settings > Expense fields > KOST1 > Settings.
From the drop-down menu which defines the roles that will be able to see the field, select None.
Click on Save changes.
You can follow the same steps to make KOST2 tracking category not required for expense submission.
As a result, the KOST1 and KOST2 custom fields will acquire a Not required status and won't appear when you upload expenses to Payhawk.
