To be able to do top-ups (linked bank accounts) and deposit funds (external bank accounts) into your company's Payhawk cards, you need to open a currency account in Payhawk for the desired currency.
When attempting to deposit money to your Payhawk currency account from a bank account that is not linked to Payhawk, check if a payment reference is required.
Specifics
This article refers to adding new Payhawk currency accounts in specific currencies for European and UK-based entities.
The Payhawk Compliance team reviews each new currency account request and typically opens it within 2 business days. Once the new account has been created, you will receive an email notification at the email address with which you registered in Payhawk.
For outgoing bank transfers, you can have a single debit Payhawk account for each currency. For cards, you can have a debit and a credit Payhawk account in the respective currency.
You can open Payhawk currency accounts and issue Payhawk cards in EUR, GBP, USD, BGN, DKK, RON, and PLN. You can pay bills in EUR, GBP, and BGN from these accounts, while USD bill payments are available for US-based companies only.
